METROLINK – CROSS COUNTY EXTENSION
The Cross County extension of the MetroLink transit system connects communities by adding eight miles to the existing rail system, which currently spans the 38 miles from Scott Air Force Base in Illinois to Lambert-St. Louis International Airport in St. Louis, Missouri. The extension included a major reconstruction of the Forest Park station and the addition of nine new stations. Approximately 22 new light rail vehicles were needed to carry the additional 18,000 daily riders.
KWAME was responsible for providing estimating, scheduling, document control, cost control and invoicing services. In addition, we provided value engineering, constructibility reviews, and the coordination, site administration and mobilization for the project.
