DALLAS AREA RAPID TRANSIT – GREEN LINE EXTENSION

The Green Line is the largest portion of an expansion leading to the doubling of DART’s rail network to 93 miles by 2019.

The first phase of the 28-mile, $1.8 billion project extends southeast of downtown Dallas to Fair Park. That section opened in September 2009 along with daily service to Victory Station.

The full Green Line opened in December 2010, serving several regional destinations, including Deep Ellum, Baylor University Medical Center, Victory Park, the Dallas Market Center, the UT Southwestern Medical District, Love Field Airport, and the cities of Farmers Branch and Carrollton.

KWAME, as part of the ACT21 Joint Venture Team, is providing construction management of this challenging extension. Our participation includes the management of all project control variables including cost control, document control, and project scheduling.
