CITYARCHRIVER

The $380 million CityArchRiver renovation project links downtown St. Louis, the Gateway Arch and the Mississippi River riverfront into one destination by connecting, invigorating and expanding the park’s grounds and museums.

CityArchRiver was a collaboration of the CityArchRiver 2015 Foundation, the National Park Service, Great Rivers Greenway, the Missouri Department of Transportation and the City of St. Louis.

Through a contract with Great Rivers Greenway, KWAME monitored and reported DBE participation on the on the $33 million Central Riverfront portion of the project. Central Riverfront work was split into 10 project packages to encourage local and DBE companies to bid. KWAME conducted two 1,000-hour job training programs in concrete and electrical work to help contractors meet DBE goals.

KWAME engaged and educated the community about efforts to include both DBE firms and workforce diversity; monitoring DBE contracts/subcontracts and minority/female workforce participation; reporting on outreach efforts; and recommending actions to achieve or exceed established DBE goals.
